Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, performing at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012

The line-up of performers for the upcoming 2012 MTV Video Music Awards just a bit warmer.

MTV News confirmed Monday (August 27) that candidate VMA five-time Rihanna will hit the VMA stage in September, along with newcomer Frank R&B Ocean, marking the latter very first awards show performance.

Previously announced performers for the 2012 VMAs include Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink, one direction and Alicia Keys.

In addition, Chainz 2, Ke $ ha, the wanted, Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg are among new presenters confirmed for the show, joining presenters already announced previously, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Miley Cyrus and "Fierce five" — women's Olympic gymnastics team of the United States who won the team gold medal at the summer Olympic Games in 2012 in London.

MTV Video Music Awards 2012 — hosted by comedian Kevin Hart — air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on 6 September at 8:0 pm EST.
