Bow Wow Gay Pic controversy does not show everything on the Web is what appears to be

If someone said that the photo above is of Bow Wow Cuddles in bed with another man, would you believe?

In a digital world where photographic evidence is solid gold, digital tricks like this can have a very detrimental impact on celebrities and brands.

Bow Wow, rapper formerly known as "Lil ' Bow Wow," was on the receiving end of a manufactured controversy due to this picture, which appeared to be of him cuddling with another dude.

But it turns out that there was actually any Photoshop trickery. Just a case of mistaken identity.

It all started when Bow Wow's Twitter has been hacked. The hacker who took his account posted a tweet with the image above.

People began to wonder if Bow Wow really was coming out of the closet or Photoshop somehow worked its magic.

Directly from a got it all sorted though. The other man in the photo, PrestonE, achieved a blog to make it clear that the man pictured was not, in fact, Bow Wow, but her boyfriend.

I posted the photo around Christmas last year via twitter. It's me and my boyfriend. Around that time some people in a fake twitter using the picture I guess it @ mymanp.

As far as I am guy 7 or whatever his name is found it's twitter – I have no clue. But to be honest the picture has absolutely nothing to do with bow wow. If you go on my twitter and look at the pictures published section you'll be able to see when the photo was actually posted.

So there you have it. Bow Wow may or may not be gay, but these photos are not him and are not proof of him coming out of the closet.

Haters of Bow Wow, you'll just have to content yourself with pictures of him and ambiguously gay Omarion.
