Golden Boy Michael Phelps finishes London Olympics 2012 with 22 medals

Michael Phelps should not live his life like it's Golden, because in fact his life is golden.

Although only needs to win 19 medals to become the most decorated athlete in Olympic history, that did not stop Michael from giving all subsequent events, to complete her medal total to 22. His final Olympic event was the 100 m individual medley relay of 4 × and gold hit one last time,

Speaking of USA Today, Michael, who now has a whopping 18 gold medals, reflects on his life-time:

"I was able to do things that no one else has ever done," said Phelps. "And this is what I've always wanted to do."

The big question is whether or not Michael will return for the 2016 Summer Olympics to Rio de Janeiro. Michael has repeatedly and emphatically said no, he doesn't. But her mother says otherwise.

In an interview with 60 minutes, Debbie Phelps has made his case for Michael to pick her up for the 2016 games.

"I want to go to Rio in 2016," said Debbie. "Do. He told me he would send me there on vacation, she said. But you know, I was like, I'm like, ' come on, Michael just a freestyle 50. ' "

How long a child can ignore requests for her mother? Mama Phelps only he could bring. 2016 is long, you have the time.

Other funny but poignant news when Michael finished his Olympic final event today, Debbie Phelps does not explode with joy or glee. She just collapsed into a moment of pure happiness, that brought her senses being completely overwhelmed.

Or, as those of us on the Internet I would say: I can't.

Ain't nothing like a mother's love. Go, Mama Phelps.
