Imagine training for an event so hard that is your full time job for almost four years and more than the pressure from the fact that the entire world is focused on your every move for that brief moment. Those who rise to the occasion and prevent cracking under pressure can leave the Olympics as immortals.

Some of the athletic gods at the summer Olympic Games in 2012 in London were familiar. Michael Phelps, arso, for example, his path to glory in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
